SURPRISE! You're Adopted!

I was in high school when I became suspicious about my origins. My entire life, people would comment how I didn't look like my parents, which of course left questions in my inquisitive soul, however, it was in high school when we began to study genetics which led to my own raised eyebrows. It was then that my own journey to "discovery" began.  They call it "DISCOVERY". It's a term used among LDAs "Late Discovery Adoptees", or in other words, "people who have been lied to their entire lives

I am not WELCOMED HERE?

We think America is a place of tolerance, but I have found first hand, that sometimes tolerance isn't preferred. If you have ever been the victim of religious persecution in America, this blog post will be one you can understand and relate to.

I did WHAT?

Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do? Have those accusations ever left you powerless and alone? If so, you will relate to what's inside. With one mighty accusation I lost my family... potentially forever, and I was powerless to change what transpired. In the end, although I wandered through all the emotions associated with loss, I knew I needed to forgive in order to heal and be free.
